Datacenter 01 — Amsterdam
Live data center environment with strict security regulations in the Netherlands.
The challenge
This customer was working with a very tight schedule, under pressure from their own end client. When we took on this job, we knew it was going to be a challenge. All racks and part of the cable trays had to be reused. This naturally requires a careful survey before the project starts. In addition, the cabinets had to come from the other side of the building, which also required some coordination with security.
What we did
A thorough initial survey of the surroundings and the project scope meant we knew exactly what to expect going in. We maintained close contact with the client throughout, who was kept informed of every change to the schedule. When the end customer requested early access to install PDUs in the racks ahead of schedule, DC Connect adjusted the plan to accommodate it without disrupting the rest of the project.
The outcome
In this project, DC Connect delivered a well-functioning, environmentally friendly installation by reusing existing materials. Through good communication and flexibility, we were able to keep our customer satisfied.
How our client stayed informed Applications that promote contact between the shop floor and the office ensure that the project manager at DC Connect is kept informed of every phase of the installation. We pass this on to our customer so they are always up to date on the progress of the project.
